The making of this sympnosium is really a success. I'm convinced that all the stakeholders did a marvellous job. Politicians/Diaspora/etc.. The respected parties performed their jobs. Some members of the diaspora are asking for the right of vote. This isn't a small factor.An instropection in this issue will shatter the strategic moves done by the political people since quite some time. Nobody is touching this sensible subject. My view is that now as the sympnosium is over. The people really interested should go further ( like you said ; join forces in different words) And start concretising their objectives. What i really appreciate is that all the stakeholders Know what the variables are. And now for this one. It'll be different , as more stakeholders are high calibre personality. And are good strategists. I'm not a positive person. Yet on this issue. I'll say that the observer is the observed. (krishnamurti) I come back to my “terrain d’entente”. After all there were no specific action resolutions I know of. The aim, to my mind, was to build the awareness of the Diaspora ; to move them in a general direction and to harness a feel good factor of the country. Grouped exchange of ideas bring individual reflexions thereafter may be , producing a cluster of grouped actions. You will recall the Doha round of talk of WTO. What are the conclusions today?Eventually pressure groups are formed. They in turn will eventually bring changes. For a fact, the right of voting of the Diaspora was raised.
