What have they done to you?
I can't imagine that from someone who is always on top of the wave.

I really felt ashamed after we experienced the poor level of service provided by Domaine les Pailles. At 7.30 which was the convened time of opening of the conference: 1.the door was still locked, the staff arrived late;2.obviously we were not welcomed with the morning coffee and croissant as was ordered;3.the grass cutting machine was making so much noise in front of the conference room that we could hear the speaker 4.the noise from the kitchen overrode the speeches 5. the staff setting out the next door lunch were disturbing. All that happened after I was proudly trying to sell to the foreign guests the professional service we could get to set up an international conference for 2008.

What did the domaines les pailles people do to warrant your nationality shame?

I agree with your description of professionalism. It saddens me to encounter people that think their job is just a means of obtaining income. Most assuredly, productivity and motivation for growth will be lower.
